CRICKET UPDATE – Please Read and Share

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all continue to keep safe and well.

Following on from my recent communication back on the 19th May I thought I would give you all another update on where we are at, specifically regarding Annual Memberships and planning to re-open.

Whilst the Lancashire League Executive and all the clubs remain hopeful of some form of cricket, with the current target of late July/early August, this may not be guaranteed.

With that in mind and not knowing just how much, if any cricket there will be, we are leaving the option to you, the members, on what you wish to pay for your Annual Membership this year.

As I stated previously, these are very testing times for everyone and we will all have our part to play in ensuring the future of our great club.  The link below will allow you to make any donation, if you wish to pay your full membership great, if you wish to make a higher donation then that would be fantastic but if you feel that a smaller donation due to lack of cricket is more fair then we are fine with that too.  Every membership or donation we get will make a difference and I personally thank you for any donations made:

Here is a list of the Membership Prices:

  • Life Patron                  £1,000
  • Life member               £550
  • Patron                         £100
  • Vice-President            £55
  • Senior member          £40
  • Senior Citizen             £22

If we are to believe what we see and hear in the media, there could be some light at the end of the tunnel with regards to opening the clubhouse in some capacity.  It’s unlikely that we will open fully anytime soon but there is talk of possibly opening beer gardens, well luckily we have the biggest one in Rawtenstall.

Nothing may come of the talk but I can assure you we will be ready should any restrictions be lifted.  A team of Fantastic volunteers have been preparing the Clubhouse ready for any green light we may receive.

There will be strict guidelines to follow and we have taken the decision that for the initial period, as we will have to control the numbers and ensure the safety of all staff and members we will become a member only facility.  Social membership can be applied for and will come at a cost of £30 including the drinks discount card (**This membership category should not be paid via the above donation link**).  This will limit the amount of cash being handled by our staff.

We will announce more details once we have a clearer picture in terms of dates but should you wish to obtain more information please contact us at

Stay safe and I hope to see you all soon!

Kind Regards

Vinny Hanson
